A Roman villa reborn as Villa Ventorum, the Beezantium, the Story of Gardening museum, a spa, and restaurants where everything on the plate was grown, reared or pressed on the estate. Not a hotel with grounds - an estate you stay inside.

Day one · Arrival
Settle into the estate
Arrive by your chosen means - a premium car, self-drive or chauffeured. Settle into Hadspen House, then an easy afternoon walking the gardens as they soften into evening. A farm-to-table welcome dinner, everything drawn from the estate's own soil.
Day two · Field sports
A proper English morning
A morning of clay pigeon shooting - the quintessential country pursuit, instructed and unhurried. Return to the estate for lunch, then the afternoon at your pace: a cyder tour and tasting through the orchards and the press, the Roman villa, the Story of Gardening, or simply the spa.
Day three · Somerset beyond the gates
A day in the county
Somerset at its most characterful - and, when your dates align, a morning at the Giant Shepton Flea Market, the West Country's great treasure-hunt of antiques and curios. A final dinner back on the estate.

Breakfast on the estate. Depart at your leisure, self-drive or chauffeured.

How do dates and availability work?
Tell us your preferred window on WhatsApp and we confirm availability within a few hours. Peak-season weekends usually reserve three to four weeks out.
Can this be extended or combined with another Original?
Yes - many guests pair two Originals into one longer circuit, travel between them included. Message us and we'll build it as a single seamless journey.
How does payment work?
Reserving holds your dates - nothing is paid at that point. A confirmation amount then secures the booking, and the balance is due 30 days before arrival. One clear payment link, no portals.
